So much has happened since my last post. The long and short of it is that summer is here. So glad to have the snow away so that we can play!
I attended my Granny's funeral this past weekend and had the opportunity to spend time with my Dad's family and get to know many all over again and many for the first time. I have shared some pictures, hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday Mikayla

Today has been a fun but exhausting day. We began the day with manicures and pedicures for the girls ( Mikayla and Sadie), lunch and then getting their hair done. All for the birthday party tonight. I have just spent the past 3 hours entertaining 11 girls - they are wild! They are currently watching a movie and I am trying to relax. I know Mikayla has had a wonderful birthday!

I have posted some pictures of ty in New Orleans as well as Mikayla's cake. More pics to come soon.

Tomorrow Paul and I are going to see Wicked. I have had these tickets for 6 months, I am really excited! Closing night/great seats.

Monday I am off to Milwaukee, hoping to close a deal.

Have a good weekend

Tyler's Trip to Seattle

Last week Tyler was able to take a friend and go up to Seattle to spend his spring break with his grandparents and uncle and aunt. He had a wonderful time and can now be found decked in seattle gear everywhere he goes. He made great memories and I swear he came back several inches taller!!

Spa Bliss

So my amazing hubby treated me to a wonderful spa getaway at beautiful Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, WA. We could not have asked for better weather. The room, ambience and company :) were perfect. Paul loved building the "real" fires, hanging out in slippers and listening to the falls on our balcony. We loved our spa treatments, treated like royalty!

It was nice to see family and to take some fun car rides and a short visit to Pike Place.

A wonderful weekend getaway!

The Nod

This morning as I was returning from taking Paul and Tyler into town ( school and bus), I drove by Andy waiting with friends at the bus stop. I lifted my hand to wave and got "the Nod". No wave , the acknowledgement was the "nod". Another growing up milestone. At first I was hurt but then remembered the same time Tyler gave me the nod... time flies by too quickly.

We watched Twilight this weekend as a family. Afterwards Kaylee asked me if she could read the book. She is officially hooked and has to be reminded to put it down. This morning she asked me if I could write her a note to stay in at recess ( so she could read). My little bookworm...

Kaylee is really excited to spend the weekend with Tante and Family. When I told her she may be going to the climbing gym and the gymnastics center she exclaimed ( and I quote) "what? that will be awesome.

I am looking forward to my getaway with Paul this weekend, should be nice.

Love
Trish

Time Flies

This week has been interesting. I have been thinking about Tyler's 16th birthday and remembering him as an infant, frog legs and all! This Sunday will be his last as a "teacher" at church and as quorum president and he is bittersweet. In just a couple of weeks he will be saying the sacrement prayer and very shortly will be driving himself to work and ball practice this summer. It is all spinning around me, happening too fast.

Mikayla left for a school overnight (outdoor ed) today and I cried. She is my baby and has always stayed close by and never been one to go to sleep overs etc... I expected her to be nervous and doubtful about going. Not the case. Instead she energetically prepared this weekend, packed last night and informed me that it was all going to be ok and not to worry, it was just one night. Then she ran off with her friends to board the bus. This is the same little girl that insisted she NEVER wanted to grow up...again all happening too fast.

Paul and Tyler were being very "male" in the car tonight and grossing me out. Andy reached over the seat and put his hand on my shoulder and said " Sorry Mom, they should know better than to say that in fromt of you". This is the kid that used to take great pride in grossing me out, not more than 6 months ago.

Paul and I were just talking about how our upcoming weekend in Seattle will signify 21 years together - wow...

Time flies...when you are having fun and making memories.

Spring is almost here

It has been a long couple of weeks and continues to be at work and I am so grateful for my understanding family and amazing husband. It has been fun to see him come home so enthused by his job, I love it. He has such a peace about him.
Kids are doing well, looking forward to summer. It is hard to believe that Ty will be 16 in 3 weeks!!
All is well and the weather is improving and blessings are abudant.

Have a great week!
